Inside the Art’s street portrait drawing to fundraise for underprivileged children

As a part of the annual fundraising event, members of Inside the Art organized a street style portrait drawing on Hoan Kiem walking street. This event is held every weekend, the first one started in April, 2018 and has received attention from various young audiences.

With limited funding, members of Inside the Art had to work a way to earn money every month for the whole club to maintain their operation. Since the start of April, the club has launched this event in order to make the best use of members’ drawing skills. Every painting takes 10 minutes to finish and earns the club 100.000vnd. The event starts at 9.00 a.m. and lasts until 6.00 p.m. The pleasing April weather makes this event much more favorable.

Các thành viên miệt mài vẽ chân dung — The tools needed for this event are quite simple to prepare: an easel, a painting frame, pencils and paper. The only determining factor is the skills of the painter. We called for art students from university all over Hanoi to guarantee the quality of each painting. Organizing this event, we had the chance to increase our drawing ability as well as earning money to maintain our operation.

Các bạn trẻ phố đi bộ rất hứng thú với đề tài — “Joining this event, first I get to practice my portrait drawing ability, not only that I get to join hands in their charitable acts. This is a very practical activity and a way to give back to the community.” Duyen – a sophomore in Hanoi stated.

Bức tranh được họa sỹ trẻ vẽ vô cùng tỷ mỉ — Apart from this even, Inside the Art is starting new projects with focus on photography of architecture in order to attract locals and foreign audiences. The money earned from these events goes to the fund for orphans in Dong Trang Temple, Ninh Binh.
